The phenomena studied by researchers in empirical sciences (such as psychology, pedagogy, sociology, or biology) reveal their secrets in a very special language. In this language, words like variable, distribution, cumulative distribution function, mean, skewness, kurtosis, correlation coefficient, test statistic, p-value, and effect size constantly appear.

This language is called statistics.

As it happens, I know this language inside out. I hold a Master of Science in Mathematics (specializing in Statistics and Operations Research) and earned my Ph.D. in Social Sciences based on a doctoral dissertation focused on statistical testing. For five years, I worked as an academic teacher, building the statistical curriculum for psychology students from the ground up.


My main goal on this blog is to help you truly understand what your research data is telling you.

I help find answers to key questions:
